MESSAGE FROM THE COMMITTEE Friday 12 February 2021.
Tennis Victoria has provided the following advice in regard to the lockdown announced today:
Effective from 11:59pm tonight, Friday 12 February until 11:59pm Wednesday 17 February, Victoria will enter a 5-day Stage 4 lockdown, based on health advice.
The Victorian Government has instructed a number of activities will need to cease across Victoria including all indoor and all outdoor recreation and sport.
As a result of these temporary measures, Tennis Victoria is advising that all Tennis Clubs/Centres, Community Tennis activities and coaching activities across Victoria must cease operations from 11:59pm Friday 12 February:
- All tennis clubs and centres are to close.
- All tennis programmes and coaching be cancelled.
- All club, association, and social play be cancelled.
- All public court hire bookings to cease.
For Book a Court venues, each club will need to close their courts through the calendar in Clubspark.
The 5-day lockdown will also mean that all Tennis Victoria competitions and tournaments scheduled within the lockdown period will be cancelled. This includes Tennis Victoria Country Week which was due to commence on Sunday 14 February in Swan Hill.
Tennis Victoria will continue to provide updates as we have them, and please do not hesitate to get in contact with your Tennis Victoria representative if you have any questions.
Stay home, stay safe.
